Monday, May 23, 2005 - A King exits...but on the horizon, another looms...

For those of you familiar with our royal court, we must announce the resignation of Patrick Phillips, who created the character of King Philip. Patrick was a co-founder of Have Court, Will Travel in the fall of 2001.

Having recently taken on a partner in life and currently supervising the building of their home, good King Pip finds he no longer has the time to devote to this particular hobby. He wishes the court members and our festival friends well and hopes to reappear at some point in the future, perhaps as a French Ambassador to the English Court, sometime in 2006.

Stay tuned for an announcement about a new King...we are re-writing our court story to make Queen Catherine a widow with a handsome and charismatic suitor...a second marriage. Oh, how will Princess Margaret and Prince Henri feel about having a Step-Father?

Monday, May 9, 2005 - First Festival of our Season!

This coming weekend, May 14th and 15th, Have Court, Will Travel will be "reigning" over the Nebraska Renaissance Faire in Omaha. A slightly smaller group of us will be attending, twelve in all, but we will make up in enthusiasm what we won't have in our full group.

Two of the Royal Hounds will be with us, along with our gentlemen of the court giving their Weaponry Talk. We will offer knightings and lady selection ceremonies for the little ones and our Trumpeters will add a festive note or two to the event.
