Have Court, Will Travel is proud to announce that the role of King has now been taken over by Chip Barbour. Our storyline has been amended to include the unfortunate death of good King Philip and the remarriage of Queen Catherine to her half cousin, Lord William Sydney, the Duke of Somerset. Chip has been with the court since August of 2002, appearing with us for the first time at the Minnesota Renaissance Faire, in September 2002.
When Patrick Philips (King Philip) retired from the group this year, Have Court, Will Travel unanimously agreed that Chip Barbour would make a magnificent King, having already proven himself as a hardworking, caring individual who looks always to give our patrons an educational as well as entertaining experience, wherever we happen to be performing.
Please join me, Lynne Melssen (Queen Catherine) in thanking Chip for undertaking these his new responsibilities. Long Live good King William!
